
Peter Ling holds a B.A. (Honours) degree in economics from the University of Hong Kong and a Licentiate in Accounting from the University of British Columbia, Canada.
Peter has 25 years of auditing and tax-related experience working for Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), with the last ten of those years as senior international auditor. In 1998, he assisted CRA in developing a training manual to help CRA auditors perform audits on offshore trusts.
From 1999 to 2000, Peter conducted numerous information and technical seminars for CRA staff. He also conducted a large number of tax seminars through CRA outreach programs, which included participation in two Chinese radio programs, in which he responded to real-time tax questions from the general public.
Currently, he has been engaged by a Canadian financial services company as a tax and trust consultant. He regularly conducts training courses on foreign affiliate rules and offshore trust rules. He also teaches courses in taxation for the continued education department of the Richmond School Board in British Columbia.
